Track Of Balkans Classic Via Komani Lake

This 11-day circular expedition is one of the most complete mountain journeys in the Balkans. Designed for strong hikers, the route connects remote valleys, high alpine passes, and three countries  Albania, Kosovo, and Montenegro before returning through the iconic Valbona Pass.

Beginning in Shkodra, the adventure leads into Valbona Valley before crossing the dramatic Perçlopit Pass (2,030 m) toward the remote shepherd settlements of Çerem and Dobërdol. Summit Gjeravica Peak (2,656 m)  the highest mountain in Kosovo and continue across the legendary Three-Border region into Montenegro’s wild Grbaja Valley.

The journey then re-enters Albania via high mountain trails to Theth, where waterfalls and the Blue Eye spring offer a scenic contrast before completing the circuit back to Valbona Pass.

This is a true Balkan alpine traverse remote, demanding, and deeply rewarding.
